What can I do about bad GERD?
The doctors put me on meds, they stopped worked so I’ve been on 3 different ones so far. The 3rd one i’m currently on seems like its no longer working that well.
I’ve noticed when I’m dieting, i am over weight, that its not as bad.
So i’m guessing i must do a diet change?
My signs are feeling like I’m going to gag which makes me nausa. I do get heartburn from time to time, not often. MAYBE 3-4 times a year.
Thanks for your advice.

weight loss can be key. I used to take ranitidine (Zantac) for years, kept getting worse so I was taking more meds. I was over weight and decided to try and lose weight. I have lost 25lbs and honestly can say my acid reflux is GONE. I haven’t had to use Zantac in over a year.
Now, for some people weight loss may not work, and sometimes they are on chronic antacids/meds.
Dietary changes are also important. You want to try everything you can before having surgery.
Sometimes surgery is needed, and I found a good link to a page that describes it. Check it out.
I hope this helps!
I would start watching the foods you eat and see if it causes any complications. If they do, you know to stay away from them.
The following helped rid me of IBS, it should help you with GERD:
Eat a few slices of green apple during the day, in between meals, and stew an apple and eat it perhaps once every 2 days.
Be blessed
