My doctor gave me a prescription that was a generic of zantac 150 I believe. Double check with your doctor though. I had it the worst, water gave me heartburn. My husband called them the miracle pills.
drink milk that might help but talk to your dr about it at your next appt and he/she can probably prescribe you some zantac.
Take tums, I had really bad heart burn when I was pregnant with my son and tums always helped..
**17 year old mommy to a baby boy**
Gavisgon works wonders !!!
Anything other than Tums I would contact your doctor. I asked my doctor and he said I could only take tums. I feel your pain
Good Luck and congrats!!
My sister was prescribed Zantac 150 – but I am pretty sure you can get it over-the-counter now. She said it was a miracle worker
my doctor gives me gaviscon its rotten tasting but works within seconds
i couldnt get by without it x
you can just buy it from chemist u dont need to see doctor for it
Tums, Rolaids, and milk. If these don’t do the trick, consult your doctor & he can perscribe you something.
When I was pregnant with my son I had it real bad. There was two different things that would help me which my doctor approved of.
1) Tums
2) Milk
Hope this helps
littel bit of baking soda in a glass of water. It tastes nasty but helps out wonders.
My doc said I could take Prilosec (it’s over the counter). I’ve been on it for about a month and I’ve had NO heartburn! It’s a beautiful thing.
Just check with your doc first to make sure it’s ok for you personally.
I have the same problem. I have acid reflux. Mine was so bad I thought I was having a heart attack! First I tried Zantac and that didn’t touch it. Then the Dr put me on Prilosec OTC. Bc prilosec works to stop acid reflux and zantac works for heartburn only. She also told me to take Maalox Advanced if I had any flare ups. My husband raised the head of my bed 4 inches and that helped too. Try to stay away from fried, acidic (tomatoes, citrus fruit etc) onions, chocolate and mints..they all cause heartburn. Since the Priolsec OTC I have had no problems at all.
People didn’t read the question…lol..some of them are telling you to try Tums!
I am a horrible heartburn sufferer by nature. Tums did not help me while pregnant nor do they now. What I find that does help is to get a glass and fill it 1/2 with milk, and 1/2 with seltzer. It works like a miracle for me, and I hope it helps you too! Happy Holidays! May God Bless you and the birth of your little Angel.
your doctor can prescribe you a pill that you take once a day to stop heartburn. but dont take anything other than tums unless your dr tell you to. Try milk that helps me sometimes
Tum tums tums TUMS!!!! With my first and with this one I have lived off of tums since the beginning of this pregnancy and they are a life saver. Lots of luck and if gets to bad talk with your dr about prescription for the heartburn
I drank milk with a slice of bread. that helped a lot especially in the middle of the night. I have 3 kids.
Ask your doctor but tums and more tums (great for calcium anyway).
With both of my pregnancies my doctor told be to take Pepcid AC or the store brand equivalent. That helped for a while. It might help you. If it doesn’t and you are still getting bad heartburn several times a week they can put you on a prescription. My doctor has put me on Protonix and it works very well.
Oh my God I had the worst during my first pregnancy. Tums didnt do a thing for me, nothing. I lived with peppermints they saved my life. I also heard that grape fruit seed worked wonderful for others.
