I have termenous heartburn during my pregnancy. I am 6.5 months pregnant and my heartburn is getting the best of me. Is there anything that anyone recommends that can ease my heartburn. I would be truly grateful if I can get some advice.

Hiya! Dee! My advise to you hon, is start taking yoghurt on a daily basis. 500mls in total! 250mls after breakfast, and 250mls before bedtime, there are lots of brands out there including flavoured. Your problem is too much acid entering your gut.Take it with a desert spoon but slowly. Avoid oranges, bacon, and cut down on bread and cakes. Hope you will find relief from discomfort and look forward to your forthcoming motherhood. > JK <
gaviscon. my sister used 2 drink bottles of it suring her pregnancy as she suffered with heartburn through out both of her pregancy’s. u can get liquid or tablets and she said the liquid worked better than the tablets…………….
hope this helps

I did the same way. I took tums
There’s not much you can do about it. The only thing that you can take is Tums, and it never really helped me when I was pregnant.
you can tack an antacid and see if it helps. if the antacid doesn’t work ask yr doctor to see what else is available, and is of course safe.
drinking milk helps it soothes as it goes down you throat
My heartburn was so bad during each of my 5 pregnancies that it almost made me sick but none of the over-the-counter remedies helped at all. The only thing I found to help was a cup of hot milk. Hope it works for you too. Good luck.
Get some charcoal tablets. Boots and Holland and Barret do them. I had the same thing when I was pregnant and they really helped.
Gaviscon. It’s not harmful to the baby. I glugged it whilst I was pregnant. It does relieve it in the first instance. Also try mint tea for digestion. Remember the baby is pressing against your digestive system and making it work a bit harder. I hope this works.
you have to be careful cos some of them say not to take when pregnant but i drank bottles of gaviscon….tastes horrible but really did the trick
also so try propping yourse;f up at night to give gravity a helping hand to keep the acid where it should be
Gaviscon is safe in pregnancy also prop yourself up with plenty of pillows at night.
I found that bread and coca cola really aggravated it with my kids
Definately GAVISCON, I didnt like the aniseed one though. I used to just drink it out of the bottle. Even having a biscuit would give me heartburn. I even took a bottle in hospital with me when I went to have my son. Funny though, that once he was born, I never took another sip, and I used to ’sip’ about 20 times a day, and has absolutley no effect on the baby.
Good Luck.
rennies or gaviscon should help. gud luck with the pregnancy.xx
All theses answers are good but to put my 2 penn’oth in try having some dry biscuits or similar to nibble on…….to give your stomach some thing to ‘work on’
