What might cause heartburn?
for the past week or so I’ve been getting really bad heart burn, at night before I go to sleep mostly.
I haven’t changed my diet at all (except for an easter egg). I also don’t eat a lot in one sitting, I prefer to eat little and often throughout the day so it’s not like I’ve been eating huge meals that might cause it.
It happens fairly regularly, sometimes it’s just the burning and sometimes I can actually feel bile in the back of my throat. Could stress cause it (I have exams soon) or even something like bad posture as I spend a lot of time working and studying.

It could be a number of things, but in most cases, its acid reflux. That is, some of the digestive juices normally found in your stomach back up out of your stomach into your esophagus, the pipe between your stomach and your mouth. These juices include hydrochloric acid, the corrosive substances used in industry to clean metal.
Whereas the stomach has a protective lining so that it doesnt succumb to the acid, the esophagus has such no lining. Thats why upwardly mobile stomach acid burns, sometimes so badly that you may think you;re suffering a heart attack.
What causes stomach juice to rise? You guessed it- that sharklike attack on the refrigerator is the most common cause. But its not the only one.
I suggest you take an antacid. An over-the-counter antacid such as Maalox or WinGell will generally bring the fast relief from occassional heartburn.
Hope I helped
Caffeine causes it have you been drinking soda, coffee, tea?
it may be the stress that’s causing your body to react this way.
do you get regular exercise?
Sugar will cause heart burn, usually from sodas or energy drinks.
well heartburn can happen when you eat some thing like onions
(everyone has a different thing that gives them heart burn)
so it does not matter if you eat small meals.it is what you
eat in that small meal!
