I have the worst heartburn! Everything gives me heartburn! Even pancakes…sometimes I drink 4 glasses of milk and I still have heartburn.

Tums, and they are safe in pregnancy
I would call your doctor, they might be able to give you something!
TUMS was the only thing that worked for me. Sometimes I would take 16, but the doctor said it was fine.
Also drinking water tended to help.
well take a couple of heart burn relieve pills then lay down and let it work
mix a little baking soda and water drink it
u want the tums because they have calcium that u need
I wish I had advice! I am the exact same way. Everything gives me heartburn, no matter when I eat or how much I eat. I pop Tums, but I might as well be eating Tic Tacs because they do nothing for me. Milk doesn’t help me either.
rolaids, tums, ask your doctor what he could give you. I also read if you would chew a stick of gum, which helps create more saliva, this often helps too.
Nexum
rolaids i had to eat so many but they are safe for the baby they say heartburn is a sign of a baby having hair and mine did so just try some antacids and see what works best for you
Take a tablespoon of mustard and then drink a glass of water straight down. Soon you will be burping up a storm! Works for me everytime!
well i was going to suggest milk, but i see that it barely works for you. a spoon of mustard works too.
its the only thing that helped me.
All that heartburn means you will have a baby with a head full of hair.
I had horrible heartburn while pregnant with my daughter ( yes, she was born a ton of dark brown hair) I swore by a teaspoon of baking soda (yes dry) followed by a full 8 oz glass of water.
The baking soda is a little hard to take at first ( ok alot hard) but it sure worked like a charm for me.
drink some warm ginger tea. ginger settles the stomach acid and it’s natural, but i don’t have any idea about pregnancy and whether or not ginger would have any effect on you- i wouldn’t think so, but ?????
Zantac!!! I take the 150 mg tabs and they are totally safe during pregnancy. I take them in the morning or about an hour before dinner and it totally takes care of it. I have horrid heartburn like yours and Zantac is the best thing i have found@!!
Good luck!
I also happen to suffer from heartburn. I have tried milk but it didn’t work for long. what has worked, are Rennie tablets which neutralise excess stomach acid and you will feel better in virtually minutes. besides they are fruity and taste nice too. hope ive been of help
tums & sprite work for me.
my doctor told me to cut down what i was eating & it should ease the heartburn.
lol stop with the milk guzzling!!!
eat little and often & sip chamomile tea, with a little honey (check honey is ok in pregnancy, i know you need to be careful with babies and honey, not sure when pregnant though..)
make sure it is not a flavoured tea – it must be the real thing!

Same here with both pregnancies. Tums and drinking a lot of water and cutting out spicy foods and eating a lot. I would eat several small portions and that seemed to help. Don’t overdo the Tums because your body can build a resistance to them and that’s why they will stop working (according to my pharmacist). I limited myself to 4-6 Tums a day.
I agree with Sabrina K. If you get it from pancakes and milk
doesn’t help, you might have a serious problem. It might not even be heartburn.Get yourself to the doctor. He or she will
be able to help you far better than we can.
As a medical student, I used to recommend a preparation with an alkali to neutralise the acid together with an alginate to form a protective coating on the oesophageal endothelium eg Gaviscon. The best solution today is a proton pump inhibitor, such as lansoprazole or omeprazole (from your GP) which reduce acid secretion in the stomach.
In my own experience as a patient, I have found something new. Try eating 15-25 raw cashews when it is bad. Helps somehow (do not know the science of it)!
First off, go to the doctor, you may have an ulcer. Pepcid chewables work great and you can get them over the counter. But its best to get checked out. Take care.
milk gives you more symptoms of heart burn!
try sipping warm water
Milk will give you heartburn, your system is putting out all sorts of things, and you are absorbing waste from your baby. Tums would be perfect as it gives you calcium which both of you could use.
Tums, Tums, and more Tums girl!! I had the most awful heartburn when I was pregnant with my son. The dr. said to eat tums(you get your calcium also). I know the feeling I felt like I could drink a glass of water and get heartburn from it. It was awful, I sympathize w/ ya. Oh yeah, and I bought the generic too, that stuff can get expensive if you are eating alot of them. I also had sprite on hand, it didn’t help all the time, but it would help me burp once in a while.
Sometimes you just can’t get away from using antacids, but you might also keep crystallized ginger around the house as a first line treatment for your heartburn. It can be amazingly effective and is quite safe.
Rolaids has these things called soft chews, they are almost like chewing on a peice of taffy. I didnt have heartburn alot but when I did, I chewed one of those and it took care of it right away.
tums but i HATED them tons of cold water and papaya either the fruit itself or tablets sold at health food store….i also heard avacado works too
i always had heartburn during my pregnancies, the only thing i found worked was an extra Strong mint with a drink of milk
tums tums and more tums lol i have had the same trouble even WATER gives me heartburn and my midwife says the extra calcium in tums is good for me and the baby anyhow. and it WORKS!
Baking soda and Water works like a charm. I had horrible heartburn, i carried a bottle of water with baking soda in EVERYWHERE I WENT.
