Why does eating Ginger give me heartburn?
No matter how little the amount is, it always gives me heartburn and this is has been happening only for a few years now. Even the smell makes me feel like I am experiencing heartburn.
I’ve heard it’s supposed to help and not cause heartburn. Is their anything wrong with my system which causes me to have this reaction? Can I do anything to stop having this reaction? I do try to avoid ginger but it is a necessary ingredient in a lot of the food that is prepared for me.

Normally small quantities of ginger do help cure heartburn but over-consumption of ginger may cause heartburn:

You might be allergic to it or have a sensitivity.
