Why does fluoxetine cause heartburn and tiredness?

To be honest, I don’t know why is causes those side effects. If they are bothersome you need to call your Dr soon. They may not be life threatening but calling and letting your Dr know about bothersome side effects will allow them to decide with you whether or not to keep you on them. I took one medication that caused heartburn, can’t remember the name of it and quite a few of them made me tired. I have been on many, so know that there are other options out there for you. Also know that sometimes side effects pass, so I would call your Dr and discuss the pro’s and con’s of staying on the medication. Good Luck.
