Why would cucumbers cause heartburn.?

My mom loves them but says they give her heartburn. Any idea why. Also the peels hurt my gums. Are these problems related?

no, cucumbers are actually a stomach calming food. don’t eat the peelings. don’t soak in vinegar, just eat raw without peel.
